1. Go to http://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/.
2. Sign in to your existing Google account. If you do not have one, register for it.
3. Add your site to the dashboard.
   
4. Click on ‘Verify your site’.

   

5. Choose ‘Add a meta tag’ as verification method.
   
6. Copy the verification code and paste it just after the tag. Important! Please take note that some blogging sites do not accept meta tag in form. If so, use instead. I am using in the screenshot below.

7. You will be redirected to a confirmation page after clicking ‘Verify’.
