2. Backup your database and old files before you start.
3. Upload all files that you have unzipped except wp-content because wp-content is where all your plugins and themes are stored.
4. After finishing upload, navigate to upgrade.php to complete installation.

Removing IE8 on Windows XP:

1. Click the Start Button and select Control Panel.
2. Select Add or Remove Programs.
3. Find and select Windows Internet Explorer 8 from the list of programs.
4. Click the Remove button.
5. Restart your computer after it has been uninstalled.

Removing IE8 on Windows Vista:

1. Click the Start Button and select Control Panel.
2. Select Programs (Programs and Features if you’re using Classic View).
3. Select View installed updates (It’s under the Tasks column if you’re using Classic View).
4. Find and select Windows Internet Explorer 8 from the list of updates.
5. Click the Uninstall button at the top of the list.
6. Restart your computer after it has been uninstalled.

Option 1: Create from your own image

1. Go to favicon.ico Generator
2. Click on ‘Import Image’
3. Click on ‘Download Favicon’ if you do not want to touch up your image
4. Upload your Favicon
5. Insert the below code in the HEAD section of your blog

   <link rel="shortcut icon" href="/favicon.ico">

   * href is the path of your favicon

Option 2: Download a Favicon from somewhere else

1. Some sites that provide Favicons: favicon.ico Generator and Favicon Generator
2. Upload your Favicon
3. Insert the below code in the HEAD section of your blog

2. In your Dashboard, click ‘Layout’
3. Click ‘Edit HTML’
