How to Upgrade to WordPress 2.8

  1. Extract WordPress 2.8’s zip file (wordpress-2.8.zip) that you have downloaded.

    Upgrade to WordPress 2.8 - Extracted WordPress Zip File

  2. Backup your database and old files before you start.
  3. Upload all files that you have unzipped except wp-content because wp-content is where all your plugins and themes are stored.
  4. After finishing upload, navigate to upgrade.php to complete installation.
    E.g. http://www.greatbloggingtips.com/wp-admin/upgrade.php

It’s a great tuts but I still prefer using Automatic upgrade other than manual (FTPpadd)
